Sala Yangnar
Functioning as the central hub of Yangnar Studio, this multipurpose pavilion serves as a client reception area, meeting space, staff canteen, and evening lounge. Beyond its daily utility, the structure acts as a full-scale mockup where clients can directly experience timber textures, joinery, exposed electrical wiring, and structural details. While appearing simple at first glance, its unique vernacular engineering utilizes lowered crossbeams (khue) that extend outward to function like bracket arms (khaen nang), nearly doubling the eaves' overhang without complex added framing and creating an intimate, low-profile scale. The layout features a southern utility and meeting screen wall with a hidden pantry, alongside an eastern sun-lit terrace adapted for working, model making, or lounging in the morning sun.
