Villa Sanlomjoy
The core design concept draws inspiration from the traditional Ruen Pae (shophouse architecture) historically found in areas like Wat Ket, featuring gable eaves aligned parallel to the street to suit long, rectangular plots. The design incorporates a central courtyard separating the front and rear buildings—a spatial concept adapted from traditional Chinese shophouses in Songkhla. Additionally, influenced by the homeowner's appreciation for Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, the house blends Asian vernacular forms with tropical modern sensibilities.
